Who Goes First, Gets the Best

"Who goes first, gets the best." - Randy Alstone

So, if you have read my previous/first post on this blog, you would know that I have lost many of the quotes I have written years before. But I happen to have a copy of few(78) of the quotes, as I had them printed out. These are from the period 2007 or before, I would imagine. So they are raw, somewhat unwise, somewhat commonsensical, sometimes personal, sometimes stupid and maybe downright crazy- a few of them. But, anyhow, I would try to give most of those quotes a chance to expand and explain itself, through me, here. Bear with me.

The first one on the printed-out quotes from my past is this one. Who goes first, gets the best. It's pretty straight forward, commonsensical in a sense, and doesn't need lot of explaining to do. But still there is room to explore on this quote.

Be the first to do something and you will reap a higher reward out of it. Be willing to enter a new arena. Be the one who start early every day, get the first word in before the world takes you on. Because who goes first, gets the best.

This applies to negative situations as well. If someone is angry, and you go first to interact with them, no surprise that you would receive the best dose of that anger in the form of words or action. There you would need to go last, to get the least. Because, "Who goes first, gets the best."

Introduction to Alstone Quotes!

Hello. Welcome to Alstone Quotes.

I am Randy Alstone. I have written numerous quotes over my lifetime, and continue doing so whenever I can/try, and I have posted most of them in my Facebook fan page: www.facebook.com/randyalstone

Although I have lost few hundreds of my quotes from the time period 2006-2011, owing to the incident of my laptop being stolen and sadly I didn't have backup, I still amassed a large number of maxims after that. Anyway, probably, the old quotes were not that great, mature or meaningful as the recent ones, who knows?

Anyhow, the purpose of this blog is to expand on the quotes a bit, give it proper meaning, if needed, and may be dig up the instance when I wrote it, if possible. It's a tall order, or even an useless order, in a sense, but who cares? At least someone would get a good thing or two out of it, right?

Let the journey begin!

Randy Alstone.
